THE DIFFERENT WAYS OF LEARNING IN THE CLASSROOM
The founder of this theory , Multiple Intelligences , is Horward Gardner . He has identified seven distinct intelligences . These are musical the students are good at singing , whistling , listenning- , logical mathematical - the students are good at experimenting . calculating , figuring a puzzle- , intrapersonal - the people are good at setting goals , dreaming- . kinesthetic - the people are good at role playing , drama , tactile experiences- , spatial - the students are good at designing , drawing , visualizing- , interpersonal - the students are good at reading , organizing , manipulating , mediating- , and the last one is linguistic the students are good at reading , writing , telling stories , playing word games . There are benefits for students . Firstly , teacher will provide opportunities for authentic learning based on the students's needs , interest and tales . If the teacher can be able to tae the students ' attention with the use of their interests , students focus on their lessons and they are more active . Because each person can understand by using their own learning ways . Secondly , students come to regard intellectual ability more broadly . Drawing a Picture listenning to music , watching video these activities can be a vital door to learning . This is a reaction to traditional teaching styles . Teachers value all students , find something by using different ways to teach better . As a teacher in the classroom I will teach my students body parts by using Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory with Direct Method . In this lesson the students speak only the target language . If they don't understand something and they can not explain by speaking , they try to explain by showing or with gestures what they did not understand . I choose this method because this method focuses on only target language . In this lesson student watch video , listen music , group discussion , create something , reading . The topic is body parts When I teach body parts , I will use skeleton model . In this way they understand better with visual things . I will show each part of body on the skeleton . And then I will show video . they will watch again . while they are watching video , I want from the students to show the part which is being explaining now in the video , and they will show if hands are explained , they will show their hands . After video I will ask questions about those parts . Then they will listen
